Yummy Waffles with Ice-cream!

(yes, this blog post was an excuse for me to eat ice-cream)

Ambience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Though it’s hidden in the corner of Chip Bee Gardens, there were quite a lot of people at the cafe. It’s a little squeezy inside, but you can choose to sit at the outdoor benches to enjoy the natural breeze. The place is well lit, decorated with their cute little characters and famous quotes. It is colourful and gives a very cheerful and welcoming vibe! I’d recommend to come here with a friend or two for a nice chat or to catch up :)

Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What first caught my eye was the waffle/brownie set for just $6.80! You could get a waffle or brownie topped with an ice-cream of your choice. Compared to other places selling waffles with ice-cream for $9, the food here is rather reasonably priced!

By the way, feel free to enjoy a FREE cup of water from the little water dispenser!

The freshly baked waffle was delightfully soft and fluffy, unlike the type that is frozen and then microwaved. It is warm and goes really well with the cold ice-cream. On its own it is rather sweet, but you can add on maple syrup for just $0.50.

We got waffles with “Kookie Monster” and “Mao Shan” ice-cream. “Kookie Monster” is a chocolate ice-cream with Oreo cookie crumbs. It definitely satisfies my sweet tooth and is a safe choice for anyone trying this the first time. There are also similar flavours like “Simply Chocolate” and “Bailey’s Chocolate Chip”.

For the durian lovers out there, there’s a “Mao Shan” durian flavoured ice-cream! Though the initial durian taste isn’t very rich, it lingers in your mouth and is an interesting flavour to go with the sweet waffle.

There are other unique flavours such as “Latte Chocomallow” and “Utterly Avocado”, I’m definitely going back again for more ice-cream!

The plate was drizzled with chocolate syrup. Personally, I like to have a piece of waffle, topped with ice-cream, and dipped in the chocolate sauce all together. It is an explosion of sweetness, you can’t help but want more!
