Who are we? -Wenqi

I'm Wenqi, the publicity director of WestTheFood.

My favourite food is ice-cream, regardless of flavour. Once in awhile I’d like to splurge on the luxuries like Ben and Jerry’s or Haägen-Dazs, but nothing beats our childhood snacks-paddle pop and ice potong. Easily bought at any 7-11 store near your house, ice-cream can be enjoyed anywhere. Cold and sweet, it melts in your mouth like an explosion of flavour, and it's the perfect thing for a typical sunny Singapore afternoon.

As kid, I remember excitedly rushing to the nearest 7-11 after school with my friends. I'd stare in awe at the many flavours to choose from. Some are simple creamy goodness, while others would be coated like a popsicle. What I truly do enjoy about ice-cream is its cool and refreshing taste, yet it's sweet and lingers in your mouth. In recent years, people are bringing in more flavours, some even savoury!
